Prevent Weight Gain at Work
For most of us, the majority of our day is spent at work. With that being said, your habits and lifestyle choices while at work can have a big impact on your weight. Here are some tips to help you prevent weight gain at work.
Pack Your Own Lunch. Skip going out to lunch or going to your work cafeteria. Instead, bring your own lunch! You can save money and make it healthy.
Exercise at Lunch Time. Use your lunch break to burn a few calories and get a break from sitting at your desk. This can be as simple as going for a walk around your building or you could opt for a group exercise class at a local gym. Taking time out to exercise during the day will also give you a mental break which will reduce stress and reduce cravings for junk foods.
Reduce the Emails you send. Instead of sending an email to a co-worker get up and walk to their desk to deliver them the message personally. This habit increases your exercise throughout the day and also can strengthen personal relationships!
Keep Healthy Snacks Nearby. While it’s very nice of your co-worker to bring in a plate of cookies or brownies, it’s not-so-nice to your waistline. You can avoid temptation by keeping healthy snack alternatives close by.
Sip on Water. Choose water over soda! Keep a water bottle at your desk to serve as a reminder to hydrate throughout the day. Water is calorie free and helps give you a full feeling.
